Today's Children are no longer exposed to activities and toys that develop the musculature, hand structures and precise movements of the hands needed for school success. As a result, children are experiencing delayed fine motor control.  “Handy Learning” will provide participants with a thorough understanding of hand development and its role in the promotion of fine motor skills that lead to handwriting. Susan Thompson is a Licensed Occupational Therapist with over 15 year experience in school and pediatric therapy. She is the Fine Motor Coordinator for the Lewisville Independent School District and the creator of the fine motor program, Handy Learning.  Susan’s workshops and keynotes focus on effective strategies for the promotion of fine motor skills in young children.  Find out more about Susan Thompson at: www.HandyLearning.com The Handy Learning Activity Book provides fun, engaging activities for fine motor and handwriting development. No need to "make" the child do what is best for them, with Handy Learning, they want to engage and play. Handy Learning, Inc. is an approved provider for the American Occupational Therapy Association to offer continuing education in Occupational Therapy.   *Sponsored by the Early Learning Coalition of Osceola County* *Florida's Office of Early Learning*Contracted services provided by the School District of Osceola County and Community Coordinated Care for Children, Inc.
