Description: UCF Faculty Parents Workshop: Tips and Tricks in Academic Parenting At this Center for Success of Women Faculty event, participants will share their personal "tips & tricks" used in trying to balance parenting small children while meeting the demands of an academic career. Areas to be discussed, broadly speaking, will include themes such as scheduling, child care, staying engaged with research and teaching, working with departments to ease the burden of being a primary caretaker, handling the birth of a new child, and navigating the tenure track. These "tips & tricks" will eventually form the foundation of an academic parenting Wiki, a living document available to all UCF faculty parents looking for ways of successfully balancing parenting and academia.
