Rachel Wentz, archeologist and human remains expert, takes you on the journey of a 7,000-year-old discovery in Titusville. In 1982 a backhoe operator unearthed a human skull while working on the Windover Farms housing development. Other remains were also found, and their history began to unfold, dating further back than King Tut and the pyramids of Egypt. Learn how the story is still being unraveled today. Dr. Wentz has also analyzed remains from other prehistoric sites in Florida. She has taught courses in physical anthropology, human osteology, and forensic anthropology at Florida State University and serves on the Brevard County Historical Commission. Program followed by book signing. Free. Refreshments provided. Call (407) 836-7010 to register.
