Supporting Acts: Lyonia, David Schweizer SWIMM (formerly Le Blorr)
SWIMM is a rising rock-and-roll group from Florida. On “Too Old,” they have a flair for ’60s psychedelic guitar shredding, coupled with a modern take on manboys who have a hard time growing up. “[The song] is about those fleeting moments of panic that perhaps you are too old to be living the way you live, doing what you are doing, working where you are working,” explains SWIMM’s Chris Hess. “After those moments comes denial.” You can’t deny that this band pens blistering psych-rock tunes. “We’re into music that stretches in different directions,” Hess says. “We love floaty feeling dance music as much as we like psychedelic rock and I think both of those vibes show a little in ‘Too Old’… well hopefully.” Polyenso
