Oscar De La Hoya, "The Golden Boy" of the ring, the Mexican boxer was known as the top-rated Pound by Pound fighter in the world during the late '90s, and has defeated 17 world champions to prove it. As a star in one of the ultimate spectator sports, he's also boxing's cash cow--having generated more money than any other athlete in the sport via pay-per-view income. Since his retirement, he's become the first American of Hispanic descent to found a national boxing promotional firm.
