Jersey Against Snooki & JWOW!!

The untitled "Jersey Shore" spin-off was going to be set in Hoboken, New Jersey but the city has blocked it from happening by denying the production's request for a film permit.

Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer sent a letter to the show's production company explaining,  "After careful deliberation . . . [we've] determined that in the interest of public safety and quality of life, the permit application has been denied."

The producers CAN appeal the decision . . . but they better not attempt to film in Hoboken without a permit, as they've supposedly done in other locations.

The letter warns,  "There will be zero tolerance for this . . . any attempts to film in a manner that is not permitted without a permit will be dealt with immediately and aggressively by the City of Hoboken."

The mayor cites multiple reasons for the denial . . . including potential crowd and traffic control problems, and just being a general annoyance . . . but the major issue is the fact that the show wants to film on a 24/7 basis.

Hoboken has a law that prohibits filming after 11:00 P.M. in residential areas.

There's no comment from the production company, but this doesn't seem like something that would put the show in jeopardy. If not Hoboken, they'll find someplace else to do it.
