Gay Community Breaks Record! Go Gays! Go Gays! GLAAD, the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, has released the results of its annual "Where We Are on TV" study, which reports on the number of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender characters on TV.
The number has increased to 31! They're considered "regulars" on the broadcast networks. That's up from 2.9% last year.
Of the broadcast networks, ABC is making GLAAD the happiest . . . with 10 LGBT regulars (or 5.2%). Fox is next with 5.1%. The CW has 4.9% . . . NBC has 4.2% . . . and CBS trails with 2.8%, but that's up from just 0.7% last year.
