This Cuban-born American singer-composer, winner of three Grammys and four Latin Grammys continues to mentor Latino artists inspired by her triumph. Gloria and her husband, record producer Emilio Estefan, started the musical group Miami Sound Machine, which in the 80's was responsible for re-introducing Latin sounds to the American music scene. It was also through their band that Emilio managed Gloria's career into stardom.
