Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey joined the cast of American Idol as judges. There were rumors that Mariah wanted to be the only female judge on the show, so obviously hse was upset when Minaj was announced as another judge. Drama unfolded during the audition taping in North Carolina when Nicki Minaj was caught on tape screaming at Mariah.

FOX is set to air an American idol two-hour special on Jan. 16 and a one-hour follow-up episode scheduled on Jan. 17.
