A New Pope Has Been Chosen After the resignation of Pope Benedict the 16th . . . we have chosen a new one! Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio has been elected the new Pope.
He has chosen the papal name Pope Francis.
-- first Jesuit priest -- He opposes gay marriage and abortion
He's the first non-European pope in over 1,000 years, and the first EVER from the Americas.
