What You Missed on the Show July 3

Katie Holmes has fired her security team because they're "too close" to  Tom Cruise.  She apparently doesn't want anything to do with Tom or anyone close to him.  We also found out her prenup was airtight in Tom's favor and she really isn't entitled to any money.  Perhaps only child support?!  Her friends say that's all she's going after anyway because she loves to work and make her own money.

When Charlie Sheen had his meltdown last year, a lot of people put some of the blame on Rick Calamaro a longtime friend of Charlie's who has also worked as his assistant.   He was reportedly a bad influence on Charlie, and one of his major drug suppliers.  Well, nobody has to worry about that anymore, because he was found dead in his apartment on Sunday.  He had probably been dead several days.  Police found "numerous pain medications and an open bottle of alcohol."

Rick Ross' DNA results are in!!!  He is NOT the father!!  There's a girl who claims he hadn't paid child support for their three year-old daughter and when she took him to court, he took her to the testing center! Sorry for your luck sweetie, but it looks like Rick Ross will NOT be paying you.

This summer, Michael Phelps won't tie the record of eight gold medals that he set four years ago . . . because he dropped out of the 200-meter freestyle.  He says, "Four years ago, we were trying to literally do everything.  That was what we wanted to do but at this point, it's let's go out, let's have some fun, let's relax a little bit."  He added,  "It's so much smarter for me to do that.  We're not trying to recreate what happened in Beijing.  It just makes more sense."  Phelps also confirmed that he's RETIRING after the London Olympics . . . "I won't be coming back.  Put it on record.

If "Jersey Shore" cast members happen to pick up an STD while filming the show, they can't sue the producers.   It's in their contracts.   Seriously.   Entertainment journalist Seth Kaufman says "Jersey Shore"  and most other reality shows where sex is likely to happen have what's known as a  VD Clause.  Kaufman says, "What I'm told is that it's pretty standard for reality shows."  The VD clause in the "Jersey Shore" contract reads, in part, "Producer hereby informs me, and I acknowledge and accept, that the other participants have not been screened for any diseases, sicknesses or other health conditions (and specifically have not been tested for any sexually transmitted diseases)  "And I assume all risks of interacting with the other participants, including any consensual contact.

Justin Bieber graduated from high school last week.  His name was among those on the program for the graduation ceremony at St. Michael Catholic Secondary School in Ontario.  Obviously, he didn't attend.  Justin took electronic courses to finish his studies.  As for why nobody knew about Justin's graduation, the superintendent of the district said,  "I guess if it happened quietly it's because Justin chose to keep aspects of his education quiet."
