What It Is:  Nicki Minaj was supposed to perform at New York's Hot 97 Summer Jam concert on Sunday night, but Lil Wayne yanked her out of the line-up at the last minute after she was dissed onstage.  (Nicki is on Wayne's Young Money label.)  Nicki Minaj was supposed to perform at Hot 97′s Summer Jam (a hip hop festival in NY) but canceled at the last minute! Why, you ask?  Because one of Hot 97′s personalities, Peter Rosenberg, dissed her song, “Starships”.  He shouted to the crowd of about 55,000 that the song isn’t “real” hip hop.  That was enough to anger Lil’ Wayne and Minaj.  Wayne tweeted, “Young Money ain’t doing summer jam,”  and fifteen minutes later, Minaj confirmed it via her own account, tweeting that “the President has spoken.”   Midway through the show, Funkmaster Flex, Hot 97’s longtime DJ, had some words for Minaj, though he never referred to her by name, saying it was a certain someone’s own fault that she “lost the streets.” He went on to say, “You think you didn’t sell any records this time??  Tune in to me tomorrow at 7 o’clock, I’m gonna ruin a career.” Meanwhile, acts like Lauryn Hill, Tyga, Nas, Big Sean, Slaughterhouse and Jeezy went on with thier performances. Drama!! And we love it, don’t we!  ;]  Here's video.

What It Is: Rapper Young Dro has a track called "Maserati", and the hook goes like this:  "He's the kinda person who's gonna drive a Maserati / I'm the kinda person who's gonna drive a Maserati."  But as it turns out, Young Dro is also the kind of person who's going to have a Maserati repossessed . . . because he CAN'T AFFORD IT.  According to a lawsuit, he leased a $134,000 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT in January of 2008.  He put $7,500 down, and had to pay about $1,600 a month.  But apparently Dro wasn't able to follow through because the leasing company has repo-ed the car, and is suing him for the 61Gs he still owes them, plus attorneys' fees.  Dro hasn't commented.

What It Is:  The "National Enquirer" claims that Oprah Winfrey has been stripped of her responsibilities at her OWN network.  Apparently, it's still struggling, and the "chief financial backer" wanted to get some new decision-makers in place.   An "insider" says Oprah will remain the CEO, but "in name only."   The "Enquirer" took this opportunity to take some shots at Oprah, saying that the demotion "reduced her to tears," and could lead to her gaining a lot of weight.  The "insider" claims, "For Oprah, this is a bitter personal failure and a devastating blow to her ego.  It has sent her into an emotional tailspin so severe that friends are deeply concerned for her.   "They fear it could trigger one of her drinking and eating binges."

What It Is: Kanye West  concert in Paris, along with the following caption . . .  "Ni**as in paris for real."  Here's the photo.  "[N-words] in Paris" is, of course, a song off Jay and Kanye's album "Watch the Throne".  But some people on the World Wide Web of Sniping picked up on it, and started questioning whether Gwyneth should have used the word. So Gwyneth Tweeted, "Hold up.  It's the title of the song!"  And, according to TMZ, Jay and Kanye performed that song 11 that night.
