What It Is: 50 Cent makes thousands on QVC... he is such a businessman!
He was on the network this weekend selling his Street Brand Wireless Headphones and tweeted, "I just made $177,000 dollars in 9 mins on QVC. Can someone hate on me so I know this is real life?" Seriously most people don't make that in a year!!
What It Is: Nick Cannon had a hit show called, "Wild 'N Out" which featured guests like Kanye West, Lil’ Wayne, Snoop Dogg, and others going head-to-head with “improv battles” is on its way back! It was at its height, from 2005-2007 and aired for four consecutive seasons. Nick Cannon says “I’m thrilled to announce that the show will be making its long-awaited return very soon – bigger and better." Senior Vice President of Programming and Prodcution for MTV2 said the network is ecstatic to welcome his creative genius back to the MTV family. The show is slated to air in 2013.
What It Is: Kevin Clash the puppeteer who controls the movements and provides the voice of Elmo on "Sesame Street" is accused of having a sexual relationship with an underage boy several years ago. The accuser is 23 now, and he claims it happened seven years ago, when he was 16 and Clash was 45.
Clash admits he had a relationship with the accuser, but not until he was an ADULT.
He says, "It was between two consenting adults and I am deeply saddened that he is trying to make it into something it was not." He adds, "I am a gay man. I have never been ashamed of this or tried to hide it, but felt it was a personal and private matter."
Producers of Sesame Street asked the accuser to produce evidence, which he never did. Ultimately, they concluded that there was no basis for the accusations.
They did "discipline" Kevin, though, because during their investigation, they determined that he had, "violated company policy regarding Internet usage." There's no word what he did.
Clash is currently on leave while this gets sorted out. Sesame Workshop says, "Kevin insists that these allegations are false and defamatory and he has taken actions to protect his reputation. We have granted him a leave of absence to do so."
Most importantly, ELMO WILL NOT DIE. Sesame says, "Elmo is bigger than any one person and will continue to be an integral part of 'Sesame Street' to engage, educate and inspire children around the world."
What It Is: Rick Ross has been hit with a $226,000 lawsuit for performing a 15 minute set when he was supposed to do a ONE HOUR show.
SM Global Union agreed to pay Ross $90,000 for the entire one hour show, but since he walked off the stage 45 mins early, he obvisouly breached THAT contract and they want their money back. Ross isn't the only emcee named in the lawsuit, however. SM Global Union is also suing tour-mates Meek Mill and Waka Flocka Flame because they were supposed to promote the concert on their Facebooks and Twitters and never did.
