“Here’s the deal,” the band tweeted, “...(we’ll get) Australia tattooed to each of our buttocks...”
Taking to social media, the Glass Animals’ frontman Dave Bayley said that if their track ‘Heat Waves’ takes the #1 spot on triple j’s Hottest 100, he and fellow band members Drew MacFarlane and Joe Seaward will get a tattoo in the shape of Australia on each of their backsides.
here's the deal: heatwaves on top of the pile in @tripleJ hottest 100 = australia tattooed to each of our buttocks, not each cheek obvs. inked on us 4eva as a sign of our love for the greatest sporting country on earth

we are absolutely serious about this https://t.co/g1XKwMuDpx pic.twitter.com/VS3qEeEigW
Our love for Australia runs deep. It is where we had our first sold-out shows. It is where triple j gave us some of our first airplay in the world. Australia has been incredibly generous to us, and now, if we come #1, we will proudly display our gratitude and celebrate by cementing our affection for your country deep into the skin of our butt cheeks.

The Triple J Hottest 100 is an annual music listener poll hosted by the publicly-funded, national Australian radio station, Triple J. The public is invited to vote for their favourite Australian and alternative music of the year in an online poll conducted two weeks prior to the new year.
While they may not be as culturally popular as recent Hottest 100 toppers like Billie Eilish and Kendrick Lamar, Glass Animals were hardly underdogs. In fact, they were the favorites.
The countdown was revealed on January 23rd and... looks like the boys need to find a tattoo parlor!
