Taylor Swift Fans Believe A New “1989” Album Is In The Works

Call Taylor Swift the Easter Bunny because she’s leaving Easter Eggs everywhere.

Swift appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert this week and fans are freaking out over the “obvious” hints they pieced together, speculating that her next album will be a rerecording of “1989.”

Naturally, they chatted about her song “Hey Stephen,” and Swift revealed it was dedicated to Stephen King. But it didn’t stop there... Swift referenced 1989 and its single “Shake It Off.” She also discussed New York, and we all know that “Welcome to New York” is the first song from the 2014 album.

Rereleasing 1989 right after Fearless would be monumental. They’re both fan-favorite albums, and they both won Album of the Year at the Grammys. So you can’t blame these detectives - sorry - fans on twitter, for diving into these hidden messages.

Numbers are huge to the Swifties. They believe that they hold the truth behind everything. For instance, Swift mentioned Stephen Colbert’s height and even his social security number - which she obviously doesn’t know. But regardless...

If you are now fully invested and want a recap on all things on the possible “1989″ rerelease, don’t worry; a fan has compiled that for you.

Swift spoke in May 2019 about her love of planting Easter eggs in her music videos, interviews, and social media.

I love that they like the cryptic hint-dropping. Because as long as they like it, I’ll keep doing it. It’s fun. It feels mischievous and playful.
