For the second consecutive year, Kohl’s will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
The department store chain announced in a statement that it will give employees time off on Turkey Day.
Kohl’s is joining retailers like Best Buy, Walmart and Target, who are also closing on Thanksgiving Day.
Walmart announced on June 4 that it would be closed for the second straight Thanksgiving as a “thank you” to employees.
Best Buy announced it was following suit four days later.
“Kohl’s served millions of customers both in store and online throughout Black Friday week last year, and we look forward to delivering that same incredible experience to our customers again this year,” the company said in a statement.
While the stores will be closed, Kohl’s said in its statement that shoppers can still shop on the store’s website and on Kohl’s app. The store added that it will announce its Black Friday schedule at a later date.
