Police officer saves deer tangled in soccer net

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — As the Foxborough Police Department wrote, it was “All in a day’s work” as an officer came to the rescue of a deer that had become trapped in a soccer net.

According to a Facebook post from the department, a person noticed a deer that had its head stuck in the net at Ahern Middle School. The deer had been struggling to get out and was bleeding.

Officer Ryan McGrath responded, and after working for a few minutes was able to get the deer freed from the soccer goal.

McGrath helped calm the deer, giving it a few sips of water. Once it was able, the deer got up and ran back into the woods, police shared on social media.
